Tyrese's wife, Samantha defends her husband after he was called out for putting up a fake Forbes cover, also defends his rant against The Rock

Gibson's wife, Samantha Lee Gibson came to her husband's defense after he
shared a fake Forbes cover featuring himself and people attacked him for it.
Samantha said her husband was
working based on faith and since his vision is to one day be on the cover of
Forbes Magazine, he decided to put up the fake cover to motivate himself.
She went on to defend him for
publicly calling out his Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne "The Rock"
Johnson. Samatha said family means a lot to Tyrese, especially when individuals
have worked together for decades, and he doesn't let selfish ambitions get in
the way. Her statement was obviously directed at The Rock, though she said she
was not calling anyone out.

The fracture in the Fast & Furious family continues to grow via Tyrese Gibson’s Instagram account.
On Thursday, the actor, who has starred as Roman Pearce for five Fast films, continued his social media attack on “clown” Dwayne Johnson. Gibson’s latest comments come as Universal officially announced plans for a Fast & Furious spin-off, which is being eyed as a starring vehicle for Johnson and Jason Statham.
Sharing a picture of The Fast and the Furious cast, he wrote, “Diversity, love, multi ethnic worldwide multi generational, United Nations, One Race, Fast Family…… Until Dewayne showed up I guess this whole time he had a problem cause he wasn’t the ONLY ONE on the movie poster……….. I guess dreams do come true congratulations to @hhgarcia41 and @therock you guys are just amazing you really broke up the #FastFamily I tried to warn you guys… You thought I was hating…… I was simply fighting to keep the family together what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don’t fly solo….. #MyLastPost today….. I got 3 years of venting on this clown.”
The singer-turned-actor concluded by saying he and Ludacris, who stars as Tej Parker, previously rejected an offer for their own film. “They offered but YOU didn’t have to agree with a solo #HobbsMovie,” he wrote. “#OriginalFastFamily we salute you and stand on your shoulders #VinDiesel #PaulWalker #RobCohen #RomanTej were offered a spin off we TURNED IT DOWN!!!”
Vin Diesel, whose had his own Fast beef with Johnson, seemed to appreciate Gibson’s passion. Late Thursday night, the face of the franchise posted a picture of himself with Gibson and the late Paul Walker. He captioned the photo on Instagram, “Brotherhood…”
This is just the latest in the saga surrounding Gibson’s Instagram account and a proposed Hobbs-centered spin-off. Last month, the actor took the family dispute public by using multiple posts and comments to plead with Johnson to not let the rumored installment delay Fast 9. Then, on Wednesday, with the official announcement of Fast 9 being pushed back from 2019 to 2020, Gibson once again called out his costar on social media.
Universal had no comment, while representatives for Johnson did not immediately respond to EW’s request.
The Fast spin-off speeds into theaters on July 26, 2019, followed by Fast 9 on April 10, 2020.
“Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU,” Gibson wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday night. “And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah….. it’s about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I’m just a passionate film critic.”
Johnson co-founded Seven Bucks Productions (which works on films like Jungle Cruise, Rampage, and the Jumanji sequel) with Dany Garcia. Hiram Garcia is the president of production.
Fast & Furious 9 was originally planned for April 19, 2019, and Universal Pictures did not reveal a reason for delaying the film to April 10, 2020. There have long been rumors of a spin-off film to focus on Johnson’s Hobbs, which could theoretically postpone upcoming Fast installments. Gibson argued as much in his first message to Johnson on Instagram in September.
“If you move forward with that #Hobbs Movie you will have purposely ignored the heart to heart moment we had in my sprinter,” he wrote at the time. “I don’t wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about. I’m on your timeline cause you’re not responding to my text messages – #FastFamily is just that a family…….. We don’t fly solo.”
